Mr. Walter Bernard Brown, better known as Brownie, 76, husband of Juanita Deyerle Brown and a resident of Eastville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at his residence. A native of Eastville, he was the son of the late Walter B. Brown Jr. and the late Anna Whited Brown.
A retired maintenance supervisor for the Virginia Department of Transportation, he was a member of Lower Northampton Baptist Church where he was a deacon and trustee.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Gary W. Brown, and his wife, Annette N., of Eastville; a sister, Patricia B. Diem, of Belle Haven; four grandchildren, Jenna Leigh Brown, Joseph Walter Brown, Julian Anthony Carmona, and Jordan Thomas Carmona; a niece, Stephanie D. Zodun; a nephew, James Walter Diem; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Lower Northampton Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Conrow officiating. Interment followed in Eastville Baptist Church Cemetery.
