Mrs. Elouise W. Allen, of Newport News, formerly of the Shore, was called home Oct. 26, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Bullbeggar, Elouise was the beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth White. She was affectionately known as “Wesie” by her family and friends. She spent most of her career working at Tyson Foods. Elouise then ventured on to doing what she loved most and that was driving the school bus for the Head Start program and babysitting.
On Sept. 26, 2009, Elouise married Walter Allen and moved to Baltimore County.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at the Chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Harold E. White officiating. Interment was in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Mappsville.
Elouise leaves to cherish her fond memories: one daughter, Alice Bell; two sons, William White and Norman Collins; five sisters, Syvella Chandler, Jennie Rich, Betty White, Alvinia Hinmon, and Deborah White; one brother, Alfred White; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, and friends.
