Mr. Robert Thomas Bundick, of Parksley, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, at the age of 35. Born June 25, 1986, in Norfolk, he was the son of Kathryn Parks Bundick, of Parksley, and the late Robert Ernest Bundick.

Robert was a proud member of the U.S. Army Reserves, and for many years, worked as a cook at Ray’s Shanty in New Church. He loved to read and looked forward to days spent on the rink playing hockey with the Eastern Shore Street Hockey League. Robert was loved by his family and friends alike, always making time for those who were important to him. He was the kind friend anyone would be lucky to have, one whose memory will live on through the many good times shared.

In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by his sister, Laura Bundick Spence (Chris), and their children, Michael, Morgan, and Ivey, all of New Church; aunts and uncles, Thomas Ray Parks Jr. (Mary Jane), Patrick M. Parks (Kim), Christopher A. Parks (Jill), David A. Parks, Carol Ann Parks (Ray), Paul J. Parks, Sean F. Parks, Matthew W. Parks (Leslie), Lesa Bellin, Gina Merrill (Noel), and John Bundick (Amy); numerous cousins; and his Ray’s Shanty family. Other than his father, he was predeceased by his brother, William Walter “Will” Bundick; and maternal grandparents, Thomas Ray Parks Sr. and Maureen Flynn “Penny” Parks.

Family and friends will gather privately to celebrate Robert’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Williams Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Parksley, VA 23421 to assist with funeral expenses.
