Ms. Betty H. Gray, 77, of Salisbury, Md., formerly of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, departed this life Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.
Born in Accomack County, Betty was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice Haggins. She was lovingly known as “Baby” by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was a caregiver for many patients for several years.
Private graveside services were held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at Gaskins A.M.E Church Cemetery, Savageville, with Bishop David Sabatino officiating.
Betty leaves to cherish her fond memories: her son, Marvin Haggins; sisters, Rosetta Haggins and Carolyn Purnell; brother, Lawrence Haggins; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; best friend, Zelma Elder; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements were by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
