Mr. Shelton L. Watson, 59, of Accomac, departed this life Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
Born in Mappsville, Shelton was the son of the late Mary Grace Banks and the late Diree Watson. He was affectionately known as “Tony” by his family and friends. Shelton was employed at Arcadia High School for over 20 years. He later was employed at T&W Block, where he retired due to his health. He loved people and began working again for Mary N. Smith Alumni Association until God called him home.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Calvin Washington Sr. officiating. Interment was in the First Baptist Cemetery, Mappsville.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: a special devoted friend for over 30 years, Teresa White; one sister, Victoria Banks; five brothers, Rickie Watson, Thomas Abbott, Linwood Abbott, Ulysses Banks, and Diree Justice; two special grandchildren; two special cousins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
