Mr. Gayhart A. Northam, 60, of Onancock, departed this life on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA.
Born in Onancock, Gayhart was son of Catherine Northam and Booker Anderson. He was formerly a member of the National Guard. During his lifetime, he held employment positions with Virginia Wesleyan, KMX, Wharton Services, Walmart, and most recently Salisbury University.
Private funeral services were held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with Rev. Quintavion Washington officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Onancock.
He leaves to carry on his memories: loving mother, Catherine Northam; son, Terrell Northam; daughter, Ticara Crosby; wife, Valestine Northam; stepsons, Akeen White and Brian White; stepdaughter, Jabrea White; sisters, Jennifer Northam, Sheila Williams, and Anita Selby; brother, Kevin Northam; five grandchildren; half -sister, Vanessa Locklear; half-brother, Warren Northam; special friend, Cheryl Harmon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
