Crash Involving Virginia State Police Vehicle Sends Four to Hospital

A two-vehicle crash Tuesday on Route 13 in Painter, involving a Virginia State Police trooper, resulted in four people being transported to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital with injuries.
Two people subsequently were airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters for further evaluation, according to a Facebook post by the Onancock Volunteer Fire Department.
The Virginia State Police were investigating the crash Tuesday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police spokesperson Sgt. Michelle Anaya.
The crash happened at around 12:06 p.m. on Route 13 in front of the former Central Middle School in Painter, according to Anaya.
