Man Shot in Exmore Saturday is Stable

Staff Report – A 20-year-old man who was shot in Exmore Saturday night is in stable condition, Police Chief Angelo DiMartino said Monday.

Police responded to a report of a gunshot victim May 15, 8:24 p.m., on Virginia Avenue in Exmore.

Several subjects had been fighting and shots were fired, hitting the victim in the neck and upper shoulder, DiMartino said.

The victim was airlifted to a medical facility across the Chesapeake Bay and remains in stable condition.

DiMartino said an investigation is ongoing.
