Mrs. Magadlene Garris Hinmon, 85, of Withams, received eternal life Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Onancock, Magadlene was the beloved daughter of the late George Garris Sr. and the late Eula Toppin-Garris. “Maggie,” as she was called by family and friends, was active on many church auxiliaries at Miracle Temple of Faith in Mappsville. On June1, 1957, she married the love of her life, the late Beauford Hinmon.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at the chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with Pastor Diane Wright officiating. Interment was in the Withams Cemetery, Withams.
She leaves her love and fond memories to her children, Roderick Hinmon and Montrose Hinmon-Jackson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three nephews; five nieces; and a host great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
