Body of Missing Atlantic Woman Found; ‘Person of Interest’ Identified

The body of Lisa Renee White, 48, who went missing Jan. 4, was found last week in Pocomoke City, Md., according to Maryland State Police, who are investigating her death as a homicide.

She had last been seen earlier in the day Jan. 4 in her in Pocomoke City wearing her Wicomico County corrections officer uniform. Family members reported her missing that same day.

Investigators discovered White’s body Wednesday night, Jan. 6, in a residence in the 1400 block of Snow Hill Lane in Pocomoke City, Md.

Investigators are looking for William Edward Strand, 52, of Pocomoke City, who has a warrant out for his arrest in a separate attempted murder case and is a person of interest in this homicide investigation. He was last seen driving a 2014 Chevy Malibu with Maryland tag No. 5DP3127.
