Dear Editor:
I resent that fact that your article said I was “opposed” to Rails and Trails. I am not. I wanted to make sure that the project was not begun and abandoned like has happened in other areas. I wanted to know what could be done to make it more attractive and who was going to foot the bill. I was looking for facts and clarification. I stated that someone else had told me that they would like to see the land returned to the landowners and used for widening the highways.
I AM FOR ANYTHING THAT LEAVES THE WAY OPEN FOR A RAILROAD TO RETURN TO THE SHORE and Rails to Trails does that. I was looking for facts. I got them. I volunteered to help with Rails to Trails at the end of the meeting and will be glad to help with it in any way I can.
