Bicyclists Need Help Finding New Bike Path

Dear Editor:
I happen to live on Seaside road in Townsend and use the new bike path that runs parallel to it and U.S. Route 13. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen people biking past my house totally oblivious to the new bike path.
Just last week I was exiting the bike path and stopped two tourists who were biking on the shoulder of Route 13, 10 yards from the path with no clue it existed! This happened again today.
There need to be signs on every crossroad from the bridge-tunnel to Capeville that promote the path. Is it stupidity or total incompetence that the county would spend the massive amount of money to build it and not have the common sense to spend a few hundred dollars on signs to promote it?
