Mr. Charles Haggins Jr., 78, loving husband of Cynthia Mae Haggins and a resident of Bloxom, departed this life on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, in Onancock. Born July 5, 1940, in Onancock, he was a son of the late Charles Haggins and the late Beatrice Bayley.

Mr. Haggins will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

In addition to his wife of 24 years, he is survived by seven children, Antonio Flores, Benito Flores and fiancé, Vicky Lewis, and Victor Scott, all of Bloxom, Matthew Scott and wife, Kristen, of Melfa, Tanya Haggins, of Cape Charles, Aretha Haggins, of Mississippi, and Brian Haggins of Philadelphia, Pa.; sisters, Betty Haggins, Rose Haggins, and Ann Purnell; brother, Lawrence Haggins; mother-in-law, Linda Rivera; brother-in-law, James Scott; grandchildren, Jasmine, Jahmir, Tony, Kaylin, Dejesus Jr., Jeremiah, Cassie and Conner, all of whom adored their “Pop Pop”; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Berlin, Md.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; and countless friends. Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Gary Williams officiating. Interment followed in the Taylor Family Cemetery in Guilford.
