Mrs. Betty Belle Branch, 91, previously of Onancock and a resident of Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center at Parksley, passed away April 6, 2019.
Born Jan. 27, 1928, in Onancock, she was the daughter of the late William Everette Edwards and the late Margaret Lilliston Edwards. Mrs. Branch worked at ACME stores for numerous years. She was a past member of the Elks Lodge and a member of the Women’s Club and Ye Accawmacke Garden Club. She was a member of Onley United Methodist Church, was an avid gardener, and loved fishing.
Mrs. Branch is survived by a daughter, Deanie Branch Tomlin, of Onancock; a son, Billy Branch and wife, Sherri, of Parksley; a sister, Jackson Lee “Jackie” Spicer, of Onancock; a brother, Ronnie Edwards, of Melfa; two grandsons, Christopher K. Tomlin and Richard Wesley Tomlin; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Edwards; and two sisters, Beverly Bradley and Jill Godwin.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 12, 2019, at 2 p.m. from the Onley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chuck Parks officiating.
