Mr. Larry William Watson Sr., 73, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley. A native and lifelong resident of Parksley, Mr. Watson was born April 15, 1945, to the late John William Watson and Jessie Savage Watson.
Mr. Watson served his country in the U.S. National Guard and was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed working in his yard and was especially proud of his koi fish pond. He had a great love for all animals and adored his dog, Eddie, and cat, Missy.
He leaves his dear friends to cherish his memory, Jimmy Nickerson, Terry Collins, A.J. Stokes, Sidney Sherwood, George Fulk, and many others who have been by his side over the last year as he courageously battled cancer.
Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, with the Pastor Sam Welch officiating. Private interment was held in the Wachapreague Cemetery.
