Mrs. Gloria Custis Johnson, 84, of Parksley, wife of Parker Johnson, passed away Oct. 20, 2018, at her residence.
Born on May 31, 1934, in Cashville, she was the daughter of the late Lynwood and Gertrude Custis. Mrs. Johnson was a wonderful wife, mother, friend, and volunteer at Grace United Methodist Church.
Other than her husband, Parker, Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Gregory Parker Johnson and wife, Linda Renee Johnson, of Snow Hill, Md., and Danny Lee Johnson and wife, Deanna Novack Johnson, of Lake Mary, Fla.; a brother, Burlie Custis, of Cashville; four grandchildren, Matthew and Hunter Johnson, of Snow Hill, Md., and Kayla and Taylor Johnson, of Lake Mary, Fla.; and numerous other family members.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Johnny Custis.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at 2 p.m., at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alan Layman officiating. Interment will follow in the Parksley Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
