Mr. Keith E. Joynes, 66, and a resident of Melfa, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock. Born April 5, 1952, and a native of Parksley and Belle Haven, he was the son of the late Robert E. Joynes and the late Evelyn Huether Joynes. He was a carpenter, talented artist, and guitarist.
He is survived by a sister, Charlene J. Long, and her husband, Somers, of Willis Wharf; a niece, Betsy Gagnon, and her husband, Nik, of Machipongo; a nephew, Joshua Long, of Willis Wharf; and four great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Tommy Joynes, Bobby Joynes, and Henry Joynes.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Doughty Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Kelly officiating. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Hospital Auxiliary, P.O. Box 430, Onancock, VA 23417.
