Mrs. Tamsey Dawn Warren Ellis, 78, wife of the late Thomas Henley Ellis and a resident of Cape Charles, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at her residence. A native of Danville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Clarry Anderson Warren and the late Virginia Helen Callahan Warren. She was a retired science teacher for Broadwater Academy in Exmore, and Maryvale High School in Phoenix, Ariz., Education Director of Eastern Shore Soil and Water Conservation District, volunteer at the Eastern Shore National Wildlife Refuge, and elder and member of Holmes Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Clarry Bolden Ellis and his wife, Adrienne, of Falls Church, Va., and Keith Bowdoin Ellis and his wife, Cindy, of Warrenton, Va.; a brother, Larry Warren and his wife, Jane, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mason, Lauren, Leighton, and Clarry Jr. “Bo”. She was predeceased by a sister, Vera Moonyeen Walsh.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at 6 p.m. at Holmes Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Eugene Soud officiating. Interment was private in St. Luke’s Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Nature Conservancy, P.O. Box 158, Nassawadox, VA 23413.
