Mrs. Vickie Massagee Tomlin gained her new mansion with her Savior on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at her residence, in Cheriton, surrounded by her family. Born in Rowan County, N.C., in 1956, she was the daughter of the late Earl Massagee and the late Goldie Julian Massagee. She served as a caregiver for ten years with Support Services of Virginia.
Mrs. Tomlin will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years, John W. Tomlin, and her daughter, Keisha Caldwell and her companion, Robert Menius, of Cheriton; a granddaughter, Chanelle Doby, of Salisbury, N.C.; a brother, Dale Massagee, of China Grove, N.C.; a sister, Cindy Williams and her husband, Kenneth, of Mt. Ulla, N.C., and their three children, Kendal Diane Williams, Andrea Faith Williams, and Holly W. Faulkner.

She also had a flair for decorating and a unique ability for repurposing antiques to create beautiful displays in her home. Her beautiful landscaping in her yard in Cheriton was full of blooming plants intermingled with nautical treasures she had collected on beachcombing expeditions with family on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Grace City Church in China Grove, N.C., with Mr. Fred Cox officiating. Following the service the family will receive friends in the church social hall. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery, China Grove.
