CCA’s monthly Kid Art class is from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The theme for April is “Spring!” and participants will be make bunnies, chicks, and flowers to celebrate the season. All supplies will be provided, and no experience is necessary. The class will be held in the Kitchen Gallery and will be led by a volunteer CCA artist. Adults are asked to accompany small children. Admission is free and no pre-registration is required.
The following afternoon, Sunday, April 6, the Kitchen Gallery hosts an opening from 2 pm to 4 pm of a new show of works by local artists. The theme for the show is “Up in the Sky”. “It’s a variation on a theme we’ve visited with fondness in the past,” said Gallery committee chair Linda Epstein. “You might see birds, clouds, planes, rockets, treetops, rooflines or something really surprising. It’s up to the artists.” The show continues through May and is open each Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. The artwork is for sale and a portion of the purchase price benefits CCA.
