Onancock’s Ice Cream Social

ONANCOCK – Everyone loves free ice cream, and Onancock”s annual Ice Cream Social and Patriotic Band Concert will deliver the goods on Wednesday, July 3, starting at 5 p.m. at Historic Onancock School, 6 College Ave.
New this year, friends and families are invited to join together early for a Community Picnic. Bring your own picnic basket, or enjoy fare from three local food trucks. Free ice cream is served at 6:30, followed by band music from the Accomack Community Band. Fun and friendship lasts all evening.
The event will be held on the grounds of the Historic Onancock School where there is room for the kids to run, play and use the school’s playgrounds. The Onancock Business & Civic Association hosts the event and donates the free ice cream and the toppings people love: chocolate, sprinkles, peanuts, candy and sauces. Special thanks to Janet’s General Store & Cafe in Onancock for donations of toppings. Donations are welcome!
The following food truck vendors will be available: Mt. Nebo Meats featuring pulled-pork and pulled-chicken sliders; In and Out Foodbox featuring a big menu of Philly Cheese Steaks, hot dogs, seafood, fresh-squeezed lemonade and much more; and Los Quetzal featuring tacos, burritos and other Mexican fare.
So bring your blanket or chairs, enjoy live music from the Accomack CommUnity Band, and chat with friends and neighbors as we celebrate our community and our families.
