Hill House Garden Event

June 6, 2021 @ 11:00 am

Sunday June 6th starting at 11 am. at Captain Timothy Hill House,
5122 Main St. Chincoteague.

The public is invited to meet and talk with Historic Gardeners Anna Davis-Agostini and Mark Heutmaker. They are the creators of the new Historic Garden at the Captain Timothy Hill House. These two have their own company, A GARDEN IN THYME but are also employed by Washington Crossing Historic Park in Pennsylvania. Their task at the Hill house was to create, plan and plant an 1830’s “kitchen” garden.

Anna and Mark were the creators of the beautiful gardens at The Hibbs House, The Thompson-Neely House Farmstead as well as others at Washington Crossing Historic Park. The owners of Hill House saw these gardens and knew these two were the perfect people to create the Hill House Garden.

If you love gardening or just curious what plant and herbs were used for cooking and medicinal purposes by people in the early days on this island, come learn and enjoy. Anna and Mark will be on site and love sharing their experience and answering any questions you may have. It should be fun and quite educational.
