Most people on the Eastern Shore would agree that all-you-can-eat steamed crabs are pretty hard to pass up. That’s why no one will want to miss the third annual Crab Crackin’ at Ker Place, presented by Taylor Bank, on Saturday, Aug. 21.
On the front lawn of the Onancock landmark, the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society will host the feast to showcase the Shore’s agricultural and aquacultural bounty with live music sponsored by Weichert, Realtors® – Mason-Davis.
The rain-or-shine event will run from 4 to 8 p.m. The menu includes steamed blue crabs; shrimp steam with potatoes, sweet corn, and sausage; barbecue; coleslaw; beer and wine (limited quantity of beer and wine included, with additional available for purchase).
Tickets for the general public are $60 each. Visit shorehistory.org/ticketsales to buy. Want to gather with a group of friends or family? A new offering called the “Crab Pod” might be just the ticket. This civic sponsorship includes event tickets for 10 plus additional beverage tickets and a 10’ x 10’ hospitality tent with private setup including table; chairs; condiments; crab-picking tools; trashcan, etc. Business sponsorships are available at the $1,000 and $500 levels. To purchase a sponsorship, please call 757-787-8012 or email [email protected].
