Chincoteague Island Library to host a Non-Motorized Parade on July 4th

The Chincoteague Island Library will be holding a 4th of July non-motorized family parade in the Robert Reed Town Park adjacent to the library. All are invited to participate!  The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4, 2022, at 10 a.m. The library will be celebrating 27 years serving our community on July 4.
The main event will be the parade at which everyone is invited to walk, bike, pull wagons, push stroller, or any other non-motorized vehicle. Light refreshment for participants and viewers will be served following the parade. There will be a brief ceremony with Mayor Leonard welcoming everyone.
Prizes will be awarded for the youngest participant, the oldest participant, the best decorated non-motorized vehicle, and the most patriotically dressed family.
Everyone is invited to participate in this celebration of July 4th and the 27th Anniversary of the library!
Free and no preregistration is required!
Assemble for the parade on the walkway adjacent to Bridge Street.
