Household Hazardous
Waste (HHW) includes
products used in and
around the home that
are flammable,
corrosive, reactive, or
toxic. By disposing of
HHW separately, you
will be reducing the
risk to groundwater –
your drinking water! –
and surface water –
protect swimming,
fishing, & aquaculture! The program will accept:
Aerosols, cleaners, disinfectants, fire
extinguishers, kerosene, mercury
thermometers, solvents, varnishes,
pesticides, poison, pool chemicals,
thinners, brake fluid, stains, batteries,
unbroken flouresent & LED bulbs,
& oil-based paints.
No Commercial Waste
Accepted! No medical
waste, radioactive waste,
dioxin-related waste,
unknowns, explosives, or
latex paint.

Subscriptions are mailed every FRIDAY. They are sent via first class mail. The cost for a one-year subscription is $160; a six-month subscription is $85.
Our staff will contact you for payment, or call 757-789-7678 during business hours, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Thursday, and 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Friday.
