Women from Brooklyn, the Bronx busted for passing bogus $100 bills at Cape Charles Food Lion

Two women from New York City have been arrested in Northampton County and charged with attempting to pass counterfeit money at the Cape Charles Food Lion.


Kenyanna Sheivonie Cummings, 28, of the Bronx, and Andrea Monique Walker, 34, of Brooklyn, also are suspected of passing homemade $100 bills at several local businesses, Northampton County Sheriff David Doughty said.


“Additionally, they were found to be in possession of several thousand dollars in counterfeit bills,” Doughty said in a prepared release.


On Tuesday, June 30, at 6 p.m., Doughty said his office received a call that two women were trying to pass the bogus bills.


When deputies arrived, they were able to locate the vehicle the suspects had been driving and deterimined they were still in the store, he said.


When they exited, they were taken into custody, Doughty said.


Cummings was charged with 10 counts of felony forgery of a bank note, four counts of felony conspiracy to forge bank notes, one count of misdemeanor forgery of a bank note, one count of felony forging a public record, identity theft, reckless driving, and driving without a license.


Walker was charged with four counts of felony forgery of a bank note, five counts of felony conspiracy to forge bank notes, and one count of misdemeanor forgery of a bank note.


Cummings is being held without bond at the Eastern Shore Regional Jail.


Walker is being held with a $5,000 Secured Bond at the Eastern Shore Regional Jail.


The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Eastville Police Department.
