Mrs. Judy Ann Howard, 82, wife of the late Terry Howard, of Chincoteague Island, went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2026, at the home of her son, Michael. She was surrounded by her caring family.
Born on June 28, 1943, she was the daughter of Robert Edward Berry and Dorothy Virginia Daisey Berry.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church of Chincoteague for 53 years. She was a committed member of her prayer chain and paid great attention to all prayer requests.
Judy is survived by her son, Michael and his wife, Linda; a granddaughter, Kelly Hale and her husband, Jason; her great-grandson, Macauley Hale; her sister, Nancy Reade; and her nephew, Robert William Berry and his wife, Elizabeth, and his daughters Emma and Camille.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Berry, and her brother, Robert Edward Berry Jr.
A viewing was held on Thursday, April 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Salyer Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at Union Baptist Church on Friday, April 24, with the Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment was at the Daisy Cemetery on Ridge Road.
In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice.
Services were entrusted to Salyer Funeral Home Inc., Chincoteague.
