Oct 3, 2025 | Obituaries

Mrs. Linda Lee Belote, 74, of Parksley, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley. Born Dec. 3, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Harry Crosen and Lois Evelyn Franklin Crosen.

Raised in Herndon, Linda grew up in a Christian home where her faith became a guiding force throughout her life. She was a longtime member of Hollies Baptist Church and later attended Grace United Methodist Church. With a heart that overflowed with love for children, Linda devoted her career to early childhood education. She began teaching in Northern Virginia, and after moving to the Eastern Shore, she became a cherished member of the Belle Croft Preschool staff, where her kindness and patience touched countless young lives.

Beyond her calling as a teacher, Linda found joy in simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo, had a lifelong affection for cats, and treasured every moment spent with her family. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward “Ed” Thomas Belote Jr.; her daughters, Kristi Fisher and her husband, Anthony, of Front Royal, and Cynthia Giglio and her husband, Joe, of Manassas; and her grandchildren, Gabriel and Morgan.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Franklin Crosen.

Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Bill McClung officiating.

There was a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
