Mrs. Brenda Moore Carpenter, 75, beloved wife of Robert Wayne Carpenter Sr., of Cape Charles, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025.
Born to the late Charles Winfred Moore and Bertha Grose Moore, Brenda lived a life filled with love for her family and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She found great pleasure in gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play ball, and traveling, whether it was to Europe, on cruises to the Caribbean, or to the quiet beauty of Amish country. She delighted in cooking, sewing, reading, spending time at the beach, and fishing. She enjoyed yard sales and thrift stores, decorating, and opening her home to family, especially during the holidays when she lovingly hosted cherished family dinners.
Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, Robert; her daughter, Jennifer Young and husband, Jim; her son, Robert Carpenter Jr.; and her precious grandchildren, Riley and Brantley, who were the light of her life.
A graveside service to celebrate Brenda’s life was held Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m., at Cape Charles Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating.
