Mrs. Diane Walker, 82, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025. Born June 2, 1943, in Brick, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Evalena Miller Tilton.

In 1961, Diane married the love of her life, Robert W. “Bob” Walker Jr. Together they built a loving home in Brick, where they raised their children before retiring to the Eastern Shore of Virginia in 1991. In later years, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren became her greatest blessings, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Diane is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert W. “Bob” Walker Jr. of Melfa; children, Joann Gibson, of New Jersey, Robert Walker, of Melfa, Wendy Cain and her husband, Jerry, of Delaware, and Deanna Preston and her husband, Chris, of New Jersey; her sister, Peggy Huie; her brothers, Fred, Albert, and Loren Tilton; her grandchildren, Richard Gibson (Nicole), Jeffrey Gibson, William Gibson (Natalie), Christina Gibson Miller (Ian), Robert Walker, Taylor Lynn Walker, Sherie Knapp (James), Matthew Cain, and Christopher, Erik, Kelli, and Shane Tuttle; her great-grandchildren, Hadley, Elena, and Owen; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
