Mrs. Sally Ann Drake, 83, wife of William E. Hopkins and a resident of Bloxom, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025.

Sally was born in Rochester, N.Y., and grew up in Webster, N.Y. She was truly a sweet and caring person who did not have a mean bone in her body.  She will be remembered by her family and friends as a lover of animals of all kinds. Horses and dogs were at the top of her list. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan who loved golf and running.

Sally had a long career at Xerox in Rochester before moving to Genesee, Pa., to begin a second career in social services in Potter County, Pa.

She is survived by her husband and partner of 30 years, William Hopkins; her son, Dana (Holly), of Appleton, Wis.; her brother, Jim (Carolyn), of Orange, Calif.; her sister, Kathy (Gary), of Pine City, N.Y.; her brother, Roger, of Coconut Creek, Fla.; her stepchildren, Seth (Christine) and Sara (Michael), of Rochester; and her grandchildren, Jo, Antnie, Kloie, Norman, Mason, Ivy, and Leo.

A service will be held in Webster at a future date. Arrangements are through Salyer’s Funeral Home on Chincoteague Island.
