Mr. David Allen Chelton, 65, of Atlantic, passed away on Dec. 29, 2023.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1958, to the late Howard Chelton and Dorothy (Lewis) Chelton in Nassawadox.
David worked as a waterman and delivered gas for Sharp Energy. He loved watching football and NASCAR racing.
David is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Lewis) Chelton; fiancée, Doris Shreaves; son, Domenick Chelton; three brothers, Wayne, Timothy, and Mike Chelton; stepson, RJ Hasty; two grandchildren, Violet Hasty and Blake Hasty; nephew, Blake Chelton; and his fur baby, Luna.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Chelton.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at the Saxis United Methodist Church, Saxis, with the Rev. William Jefferson officiating.
