Mr. Wilson Mills, 83, beloved son of the late Goldie Mills and Audrey Belote Mills, was born in Accomack County on Aug. 20, 1940. He departed this life on Sept. 17, 2023, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, Md.
“Bud,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Accomack and Worcester counties. At an early age, he entered the workforce in the farming industry. He continued to farm throughout his entire life. In later years, he began working in the logging and trucking industries and would work in these industries for over 30 years.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, from Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Stockton, Md., with the Rev. Carroll Mills officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Steven Mills Sr.; three grandchildren, Steven Mills Jr., Kaylyn Mills, and Georgianna Mills; one great-grandchild, Renya Mills; one brother, Rob “Bobby” Mills; one sister, Dianna Mills; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
