Mr. Frederick R. “Pat” Bradley Jr., 86, of Temperanceville, husband of Ethel Watson Bradley, passed away on June 21, 2023, at his residence.

Born on March 16, 1937, in Nassawadox, he was the son of the late Frederick Raymond Bradley Sr. and the late Evelyn Hastings Bradley. He was raised by J. Wellington Mason and Mattie Hastings Mason of Jenkins Bridge.

Pat worked as an electronics technician for NASA for over 44 years. He enjoyed his job immensely and even went back to work after retirement, officially retiring at the age of 75. A dedicated member of Assawoman United Methodist Church, Pat was deeply dedicated to various churches throughout his entire life. He showed his love for the Lord and his people by serving, often out of the spotlight.

An avid golfer, Pat also enjoyed watching bicycle racing on TV and collecting and restoring old toy tractors. He was an amateur ham radio operator, a Little League baseball coach for the Wallops Pirates, and a coach for the Atlantic Hawks Babe Ruth baseball team. Pat was a humble man, with a mischievous sense of humor. His true loves in life were his children and grandchildren, and his family and friends thoroughly enjoyed his fun and genuine personality.

Pat is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ethel Watson Bradley; two sons, Chris Bradley and wife, Karen, of Atlantic, and Freddie Bradley, of Horntown; a daughter, Vicky Bradley Ennis and husband, Bob, of Pocomoke City, Md.; two grandchildren, Michelle Muir and Michael Ennis and wife, Ashley; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; cousins, Grayson Chesser Jr. and Kathy Lewis; a brother-in-law, Edward Watson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Pat was held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2 p.m. from the Assawoman United Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Maury Enright officiating.
