Mrs. Ruth Bunting Williams, 88, of Chincoteague Island, passed away on May 3, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Chincoteague Island, on May 23, 1931, to the late Harry Bunting Sr. and the late Mary Andrews Bunting.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Daughter of Ruth Sunday School Class since she was 14 years old, Union Baptist Church Ladies Aid Quilters, and CVFC Ladies Auxiliary, where you could find her making pizzas for many years.
Ruth is survived by her loving daughter, Patsy Savage, and her husband, David, of Chincoteague Island; granddaughter, Ruth Ann Britton, and her husband, David, of Chincoteague Island; great-grandson, Cody Britton, and his fiance, Courtney Sturgis, of Chincoteague Island; brother, Billy Ray Bunting, and his wife, Barbara, of Chincoteague Island; three nieces, Brenda Bernstein and her husband, Bryan, of Salisbury, Md., Teresa McCain and her husband, Bill, of Salisbury, and Denise Savage and her husband, Jay, of Chincoteague Island; two nephews, Clay Bunting and his wife, Roxanne, of Gargatha, and Chris Bunting, of Chincoteague Island; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends, Peggy Belote and her husband, Butch, of Painter, and JoAnne Miles and her husband, Kenny, of Pocomoke City, Md.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William L. Williams Jr.; and brother, Harry Clay Bunting Jr.
Private family burial will take place in the Daisey Cemetery, on Chincoteague Island.
