With great sadness, his family announces that Mr. David R. Bambino, 87, of Bloxom, passed away on July 22, 2026.
Born on Aug. 20, 1938, David was the son of Albert Bambino and Caroline Bambino (née Pazak). He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis from 1961 to 1963, earning an honorable discharge and traveling throughout Europe.
Following his military service, David worked for many years as a mechanical engineer at Kaydon Ring & Seal, of Baltimore, until his retirement in 2000, after which he became a resident of Bloxom.
An avid outdoorsman and craftsman, David found joy in fishing and was a talented self-taught woodcarver who loved creating birds, ducks, and model boats. Above all, he cherished his daily routine of starting every morning over a hot cup of coffee and great conversation with friends at Royal Farms and Stuckey’s.
David was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Phyllis E. Bambino; his brother, Rudolph “Rudy” Bambino; his sister, Nancy Rusen (née Bambino); and his best friend, his dog, Buddy.
David is survived by his son, Norman S. Bambino and his wife, Kimberly, of Middle River, Md.; his daughter, Lisa M. Blueford and her husband, Richard, of Pasadena, Md.; his grandchildren, David M. Bambino and his wife, Aimee, of Perry Hall, Md., Richard K. Blueford Jr. and his wife, Sarah, of Pasadena, Katelin M. Blueford, of Pasadena, Blaine Kiser III and his wife, Lauren, of Whiteford, Md., and Brant Kiser, of Middle River; his great-grandchildren, Savannah, Brantley, Joshua, Carson, Lainey, and Leni; and his lifelong friend, Carolyn Fuhr, of Pasadena.
The family has the utmost respect and appreciation for the doctors, nurses, and staff at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
