Apr 17, 2026 | Obituaries

Mr. Waylon Matthew Turner took his last breath on March 28, 2026, after complications due to a vehicle accident.

Waylon was born on Oct. 12, 1983, in Portsmouth, to Barbara Williams and William Turner.

He moved to the Eastern Shore from Portsmouth at the age of 18. He started his career in construction, which is how he met the love of his life, Samantha.

Waylon and Samantha got married in 2012 and had five children together. Waylon was a family man and loved every minute spent with his family and friends. His favorite part of the day was spending the evenings with his wife after a long day at work. He faced many challenges but was pushing and fighting to overcome them for his family — they meant the world to him.

Waylon is survived by his mother and father; his wife, Samantha Turner; his daughter, Madison Turner; four sons, Logan, Landon, Anthony, and Abel Turner; his brother, Josh Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Turner.

A celebration of life will be held, with a date and location to be determined.
