Mr. Lester Eugene Stream, 88, of Crisfield, Md., passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Born on July 2, 1937, in Berkley Springs, W.Va., Lester was the beloved son of the late William Eugene Stream and Lillian Louise Frye Stream. He graduated from Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Md., and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1966, achieving the rank of SP4.

Lester dedicated 33 years of his career to Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) as a lead stock clerk before retiring in 1995. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Crisfield in 2000, where he became an active member of the community. He joined Immanuel United Methodist Church, the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion, and the Crisfield Chapter of the AARP. He was also affiliated with the Moose Lodge in Brunswick.

A passionate outdoorsman, Lester found joy in hunting and fishing. He was a devoted fan of boxing and the Washington Redskins (now Commanders).

Lester’s warm spirit and dedication to his family, community, and country will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rose Justis Stream; two sons, Charles Eugene Stream and his wife, Christine, of Lancaster City, Pa., and Glen J. Parker, of Belle Haven; a grandson, Brandon Stream and his wife, Megan, of York, Pa.; and a great-granddaughter, Kacie Stream, of York; along with several cousins.

Lester was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edward Stream.

A memorial service to honor Lester’s life will be held on Saturday, April 18, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield, with the Rev. Jim Riley officiating. Family and friends are welcome for visitation one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lester’s memory to the Immanuel United Methodist Church Food Pantry or Soup Ministry, 206 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.
