Mrs. Virginia Louise “Ginny” Reynolds, 66, beloved wife of the late Robert James “Bob” Reynolds and a resident of Bloxom, went home to rest with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025.
Born June 15, 1959, in Atlanta, and raised in New Carrollton, Md., she was the daughter of the late Norman Jerome Hannah Jr. and Mary Louise Oehler Hannah.
A proud alumna the University of Maryland, Ginny bled red, black, and gold and remained a faithful Terrapin fan throughout her life. If her Terps were playing, especially basketball or football, you could guarantee she was watching and cheering till the end.
Ginny remained in the Hannah family home in New Carrollton until she and Bob were married in 1981. A few years later, they moved to Bloxom, where they were warmly embraced by their neighbors and fellow members of St. Thomas United Methodist Church, all of whom quickly became family. She faithfully served in many capacities, including the United Methodist Women, Eastern Star, and as a youth group leader, always shining Christ’s light in the lives of those around her.
Ginny shared her boundless patience, love, and dedication as a special education teacher with Accomack County Public Schools, touching countless lives through her care and guidance. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, blending creativity into her home and work, and she had a passion for shopping that fueled her extensive crafting collection. Ginny approached life with joy and gratitude, and she was a true blessing to all who knew her.
Ginny is survived by her loving daughters, Sarah Daley and her husband, Doug, of Brunswick, Md., and Ashley Reynolds, of Virginia Beach; her sister, Norma Raymond and her husband, Steve, of Mount Airy, Md.; her grandchildren, Dean, Audrey, and Arthur; four nieces; two nephews; and many extended family and friends.
A service in celebration of Ginny’s life will be held at St. Thomas United Methodist Church on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m.
