Mrs. Ethel Ruth Bradley, 86, of Temperanceville, passed away on  Dec. 31, 2025, at her home.

She was born on March 17, 1939, to the late Stanley and Emma Watson (Haines) on Chincoteague Island.

Ethel was born and raised on Chincoteague Island. She was crowned Miss Chincoteague in 1955. Ethel married the love of her life, “Pat” Fredrick Bradley Jr., on June 8, 1958.

Ethel is survived by her three children, Vicky Ennis (Bob), of Pocomoke City, Fredrick “Freddie” Bradley III, of Horntown, and Chris Bradley (Karen), of Atlantic; one brother, Eddie Watson, of Chincoteague Island; one grandson, Michael Ennis (Ashley), of Pocomoke City; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Fredrick Raymond Bradley II; and four brothers, James, Arthur, Raymond, and Robert Watson.

Visitation took place on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 1 p.m. at Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague Island, with funeral services following at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Eley officiating.

Burial took place in the Assawoman Methodist Church Cemetery in Assawoman.

There was a time of food and fellowship for everyone following the service at Atlantic United Methodist Church, 10052 Atlantic Road, Atlantic.
