Mrs. Audrey Harrison Marsh, 96, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025.
Born Jan. 4, 1929, at the Harrison family home in Cashville, Audrey was raised in a loving Christian home and remained devoted to her faith throughout her life. She graduated from Onancock High School, class of 1946, and later dedicated decades of service to the business office at C&P Telephone. A lifelong member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church, Audrey was very active within her church, especially in preparing for its bazaars and bake sales.
Audrey loved with her whole heart, and once you were a part of her life, you always remained special to her. Known for her warmth and generosity, she never let a visitor leave her home empty-handed — most often sending them off with something freshly baked from her kitchen. Cooking, baking, and canning were her joys, and she faithfully shared her gifts with her church family to ensure traditions would continue. The many special friendships shared and the love Audrey received from those who knew her were testament to who she was and a reflection of the unconditional love she gave.
She was blissfully reunited in heaven with her parents, Milton Oswald Harrison and Estelle Marie Bell Harrison; her first husband, Kenneth Guy Marsh; her second husband, Arthur E. Schlicht; as well as her brothers and their wives, Lloyd Rogers Harrison and Mary, William Harrison and Dot, and Lee Harrison and Jean.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted son, Dale Marsh, and his fiancée, Donna Callaway, of Cashville; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; extended members of the Marsh and Schlicht families; and her beloved church family.
Funeral services were held at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church on Sat., Aug. 30, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Roland Major officiating. Interment followed in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
