Crash pushes car into Accomack County school bus

An Accomack County school bus was involved in a crash that happened on Chincoteague Road near Wattsville on Monday, May 12.
State police spokeswoman Michelle Anaya said none of the 30 students on board the Accomack County School Bus were injured.
The crash, reported shortly before 3 p.m., happened in the area of the intersection of Chincoteague Road and Coardtown Road.
Khyliah L. Harmon, of New Church, was driving a 2013 Dodge Dart westbound on Chincoteague Road. Harmon attempted to make a left turn onto Coardtown Road and turned into the path of a 2017 Toyota Highlander that was traveling eastbound on Chincoteague Road. The Highlander was pushed into an Accomack County school bus, which was stopped on Coardotwn Road, according to Anya.
Harmon was charged with failing to yield. One person sustained non-life threatening injuries.
