Mrs. Nancy Ellen Scott, 80, of Bloxom, wife of the late Ira Thomas Scott, passed away on April 10, 2025, in Parksley.

Born on Aug. 19, 1944, in Clam, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Clifton Taylor and Winnie Fred Taylor. Nancy worked for the R&G Shirt Factory for many years and was a member of the Faith Assembly of God in Lee Mont. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by a son, Cliff Scott; her beloved grandchildren, Brad Lawson (Megan), Brittany Brophy (Todd), Taylor Scott (Devin), Laura Beth Long (Cody), Hunter Scott, Aaron Scott (Ana), and Amber Myers; her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Wyatt, Peyton, Jaxon, Kylee, Christian, Ryan, Skylar, Roman, Elijah, Audyn, Ella, Ripken, and Ayden; the mothers of her grandchildren, Terry and Angela; her nephews, Ronnie and Rodney; and her niece, Rhonda. She also had many great-nephews and great-nieces whom she loved with all of her heart.

Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, RT Scott; a sister, Loretta East; and a brother, Ronald Dennis Taylor (Jean).

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. from the Thornton Funeral Home with Mark Howard officiating. Interment followed in the Liberty Cemetery in Parksley.

The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
