Mrs. Kathryn W. Woodall, 74, died on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at Walter Reed Convalescent Home.
Born in September 1950, she was a daughter of the late Dolly W. DeBoodt and stepfather, Julius A. DeBoodt, and the foster child of the late Ann S. and Arthur A. Bays.
Kathy graduated from Bayside High School in Virginia Beach in 1968 and later attended Eastern Shore and Thomas Nelson community colleges.
Her employment included: surgical nursing, creating and recording radio commercials for WESR, legal secretary, and banking. Before her disability, her last employment was as a teller for Farmers Bank of Appomattox.
She is survived by her siblings, Mrs. Sandra Parks, of Salisbury, Md., Mrs. Sheilla Taylor, of Exmore, and the Rev. Dr. “J” Wilson Jr. and wife, Susan, of Belle Haven; her former husband, Albert LeCato Jr. and their children, Bert LeCato III and wife, Chrissy, of Onley, and Kim L. Connell and husband, Chase; and granddaughters, Presley and Julia, of Yorktown.
She is also survived by her husband of 26 years, Richard T. Woodall, and stepchildren, Chris Woodall, of Concord, Brian Woodall and wife, Shannon, of Greenville, N.C., and Laura Woodall, of Smithfield; and six step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
