Mrs. Barbara Jean Wesch Cagle, 68, of Cumberland, formerly of Exmore, began her journey to be with her savior on Jan. 6, 2025.
Barbara Jean enjoyed doing research on the Cumberland Forest. She often lectured and educated visitors about the history of the area.
Barbara Jean was predeceased by her daughter, Malissa Lloyd; grandmother, Ruby E. Brinkly; brother, Michael E. Wesch; and father, Sam Bradford.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim L. Cagle; her mother, Betty Bradford; her daughter, Angelica Lloyd; and her nephew, niece, grandnephew, grandnieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service has been scheduled at the Outreach Center for Exmore Baptist Church in Exmore at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at Winston Lake, Cumberland State Forest.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cumberland Animal Protection, Cumberland Rescue Squad, and Exmore Baptist Church.
