Mrs. Ida Deese Bailey, 90, wife of the late Francis Allen Bailey for over 60 years and a resident of Exmore, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at her residence in Exmore. A native of Palm Beach, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Clayton Deese Sr. and the late Louella McClellan Deese.
She was a homemaker and a sales representative for Caroline Emmons.
She was predeceased by two children, Sherry Bailey (Keith Cummings) and Teresa Bailey Gersick.
Ida is survived by her daughter, Beverly Bailey Stetar; sister, Norma Falkner; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. at Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore, with Don Donovan officiating. Interment will take place in Palm Beach Memorial Park, Boynton Beach, Fla., Florida arrangements are by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 561-833-4061.
