Mrs. Norma Justis Fitchett, 91, wife of the late James Milton Fitchett Jr. and a resident of Willis Wharf, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at her residence. A native of Bloxom, she was the daughter of the late Elwood Thomas Justis Sr. and the late Flossie Marie Hart Justis.
She was a member of Exmore Baptist Church. She is survived by a great- granddaughter and caregiver, Brandalyn Justis and her husband, Anthony, and their children, Braleigh, Vaden, and A.J.; many grandchildren including Karen, Jason, Tracey, and Sherri; many great-grandchildren including Merranda, Ronald, and many more; great-great grandchildren including Noah, Kinsley, Ava, and many more; and a niece and nephew.
Norma was predeceased by three children, Florence Marie Armentrout, Norma Jean Bew, and Richard Wayne Fitchett; and a brother, Woody Justis.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. with pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating at Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore. A private interment will follow at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery.
