Mr. Francis “Frank” George Wilson Jr., devoted husband of the late Carol Ann Ott Wilson for 52 years, passed away at his residence in Jamesville on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024. He was the son of Francis George and Zena Wilson, of Absecon, N.J.
In 1974, this New Jersey native relocated to Virginia Beach due to his career in the U.S. Navy. He excelled scholastically, earning two master’s degrees during his military service. He started his naval career as an enlisted man but soon became a warrant officer, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 4.
He enjoyed watching classic movies, traveling, and visiting Disney World, was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Dallas Cowboys fan, and had an amazing sense of humor. He moved to Jamesville in late 2023.
Frank is survived by his children, Michael Wilson, of Jamesville, Christine Wilson-Huether (Bobby Carroll), of Pungoteague, and Deborah Highsmith (Olivia), of Camden, N.C.; three grandchildren, Caleb Roberts (Mary), Joshua Roberts, and Zachary Highsmith (Makaila); and one great- grandchild, Augustus.
