Mr. John Edward Farlow Jr., 50, husband of Sharon Wroten Farlow for 30 years and a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at Sentara Princess Ann Hospital in Virginia Beach. He was born to the late John Edward Farlow Sr. and the late Thelma Simpson Farlow on Oct. 12, 1974.
John was a waterman, a fanatical Cowboys fan, and was a believer in Christ.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three children, Brandon, Nathanial, and Emma. Although they are Sharon’s children, they loved John as a father and best friend. He is also survived by a brother, Matthew Farlow.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 7, at noon, at Doughty Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 or to help with final expenses, P.O. Box 233, Willis Wharf, VA 23486.
