Mr. Daniel Royer Lytle passed away on Nov. 21, 2024, at his residence in Jamesville.
Son of the late Robert Paul and Martha Stewart Lytle, Dan was the beloved husband of Ann Hayden, loving father of Jennifer Lytle Bennett (Bruce) and Elizabeth Anne Storelli, and grandfather to Naomi and Gabriel Bennett, Joshua Lytle (deceased), and Justin and Anthony Storelli. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas (Mary Lou).
Dan was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., attended Valley Forge Military Academy, and graduated from the University of Richmond. He was second lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1964 through 1966, an experience that helped shape his character throughout his years.
Dan lived his life in full measure. He was an ad guy, working in Rochester, N.Y., and on Madison Avenue. In addition to his family, he loved shooting sporting clays, smoking cigars, his bird dogs (Tilly), fishing, tending Purple Martins, a good story, a great laugh, and great music, and especially cherished the many close friends he made along the way.
